On May 28th, 2019 MEGAMIX Feed Company received a GMP+FSA Certificate confirming compliance with standards and requirements of safe production during the seminar “Feed and Food Safety: Preparing for Future” in Moscow and became the first premix producer in Russia certified by this scheme.
GMP+ FSA (Feed Safety Assurance) Certificate is obligatory for selling feed products in a number of countries which makes it a crucial tool for export development of Russian producers.
GMP+ Managing Director Johan den Hartog commented:
“Currently, there are 45 companies in Russia with a GMP+ certificate. But MEGAMIX is the first premix producer on the Russian market certified according to GMP+. Firstly, it demonstrates that they truly confirm their product quality and secondly, they control risks during production. Thirdly, after a company has received a GMP+ certificate other companies that buy its products get quality guarantee. It is important to understand that 95 countries around the world support GMP+ certification. So, if a company is GMP+ certified it can easily enter these global export markets.”
The issued certificate confirms assurance of manufactured feed safety for farm animals as well as reducing health risks for animal product consumers.

Today we are already present on Kazakhstan, Tadzhikistan and Uzbekistan markets – basically, in all post-Soviet states. And we already have some clients in Europe that were waiting for this certificate. They literally said: “Come on folks, get a GMP+ certificate, our doors are open for you.” However, I would like to state clearly that we didn’t receive a certificate to sell our products in Europe. We did it to maintain product quality and safety. Having a GMP+ certificate eliminates completely all potential risks for safety of premix and feed consumers. It is especially timely amid ASF and bird flu situation. GMP+ equals reputation for safety.”
GMP+ FSA Module is based on HACCP and includes ISO 9001 components, traceability, monitoring and prerequisite programs, industry-wide approach and Early Warning Systems.
GMP+ Leading Auditor Grigory Mazur highlighted:
“GMP+ label says that a company passed the most difficult certification in production industry. It says that all processes are automated and controlled and same control applies to all suppliers. If a consumer buys MEGAMIX products these products will be delivered right on time and produced according to the technological rules agreed in the contract. This certificate allows export to European, African and Asian countries. The certificate supports positive corporate image. There is no higher status in the world than the one provided by GMP+ certification.”
