On May 22-23 the VIII Research-to-Practice Conference “Veterinary Medicine in Swine Production 2019” took place in the Center for Science of the Siberian Federal Science Center of Agrobiotechnologies of Russian Academy of Sciences (SFNTSA RAN) (Krasnoobsk, Novosibirsk Region) supported by the National Swine Union, SFNTSA RAN, Experimental Veterinary Medicine Institute of Siberia and Far East. The event gathered veterinarians from Novosibirsk and Kemerovo Regions, Altai Krai and other Siberian regions.
The conference participants traditionally discussed the current situation in the industry, further development of swine production up to 2024 as well as the epizootic swine diseases. The leading industry experts presented their reports on the main swine production issues and proposed solutions to them.
In addition, a session of the Expert and Advisory Council for Veterinary Medicine of the National Swine Union took place during the conference. At the session the participants discussed new draft veterinary rules regarding CSF, Aujeszky's disease, brucellosis and tuberculosis.
