Amino acids

Amino acids | Poultry

Poultry cells have to synthesize sufficient amount of protein for quick and harmonious growth. Proteins are not only construction material for muscles, bones, feathers, and internal organs, but also the main enzyme components. Proteins consist of amino acids, some of which can be synthesized in the body, and part of which must come from food.

The amino acid depo formed by feed and the products of tissue decay is consumed during biosynthesis of proteins and many other compounds, as well as in energy consumption.

With reduced amino acid and protein content in the diet, food and energy consumption increases. Thus, the efficiency of feed utilization is reduced and fat deposition increases. Therefore, amino acid nutrition has a special role in the physiology of high productive poultry. It is not possible to reach efficient and profitable production without the correct combination of amino acids in the diet.
