L-lysine

L-lysine | Cattle and small ruminants

Lysine is one of essential amino acids.
It catalyzes enzymatic reactions, is involved in protein and carbohydrate metabolism, reduces serum triglycerides, facilitates calcium absorption and maintains nitrogen balance in the body. L-lysine is involved in production of antibodies, hormones, and enzymes, facilitates collagen formation and tissue regeneration, acts as a source of energy, stimulates protein synthesis, bone formation and growth, stimulates cell division and synthesis.
Lysine deficiency of some feed reaches 15–20 %. With lysine deficiency, appetite, resistance of the organism, productivity in adults and the growth of young animals decrease, bone calcification is altered, and anemia develops due to the violation of hematopoiesis and hemoglobin synthesis, the muscles are depleted, paralysis is observed.
So far, free L-lysine is the most biologically available form.
