Lysine facilitates the synthesis of tissue proteins of skeleton, muscles, and blood. With the insufficient receipt of L-lysine, the growth of bone and muscle tissues and hemoglobin production slow down in pigs.
The lack of lysine in the feed can be identified by the appearance of young animals. Bristle roughness is observed in such pigs, it loses its luster, animals lose appetite, which results in the total depletion of the body.
So far, a free form of L-lysine is the most biologically available form.
