L-arginine | Fish Farming

General information
L-arginine is a feed additive for farm animals, including fish and shrimps. L-arginine is a dried extract of Corynebacterium glutamicum fermentation products; it contains L-arginine as active ingredient. 

Appearance
White crystalline powder, partially soluble in water.

Biological properties
L-arginine contains an essential amino acid arginine which is a component of all known proteins necessary for the functioning of the body.
Arginine is used by the muscles as an additional source of energy and is one of the main components in the growth and synthesis of body tissues.
Arginine has a positive effect on brain function, it is necessary to maintain normal nitrogen metabolism in the body.

Usage
L-arginine is used through premix to enrich mixed feed with arginine. The amount of added amino acid is determined by the level of protein in the diet and by the amino acid composition of its components. It is compatible with all ingredients of feed, drugs and other feed additives. After L-arginine supplementation, aquaculture products can be used without restrictions.

Individual protective measures
While handling L-arginine, it is necessary to comply with the general rules of individual hygiene and safety precautions provided for handling feed additives. 

Storage conditions
This preparation is usually stored in the original container in a dry, well-ventilated place, protected from direct sunlight at a temperature of 5 °C to 25 °C. 
Shelf life is 3 years from the date of manufacture.
Feed additive should not be used beyond the expiration date. 

Package
L-arginine is packed in cardboard padded drums with double-layer plastic bags inside.
